Digital output device override doesn't behave properly

Description

If you select a stereo only device as main audio device, and override the digital output device. In Audio Settings, you can't select 5.1 audio

As a consequence, audio will always come out as stereo from the main analog audio device.

Tried JYA's patch from ​http://pastebin.com/4S3YS8kD. No audio was output. See drop.log attachment

Some tests on the capabilities of the device were always performed on the main audio device. If a distinct digital device was defined, it could have been ignored.
