Skip commercial accelerators 'over-active'

Description
This may not be a bug, it might have been an intentional change, however, IMO the functionality has changed from being useful, to being a bit annoying.
I usually watch an item with skip commercials set to automatic. Each recording is commflaged after recording
Current functionality: Recording plays until commercial is detected via database Recording skips say 4:11
It wasn't a commercial, so I press Q to skip backwards
mythfrontend reports skip -4:14 (did it really take 3 seconds to hit the button) recording plays from ~1 second before the skip. Then skips again. I press Q, repeat. This usually requires either setting notify or disable for commercial flagging to continue
Previous functionality played back from point of skip, and would not skip a second time.

Sorry, should have said this has been the case with trunk revn# ~20838 and the 20796 (which I need as mythfrontend crashes on certain recordings #6716)
