Description
This patch enables live transcoding of audio and video streams from a dvb source.
It adds a new page to the recording profiles to enable the transcoder and set its options.
The stream will then be transcoded prior writing it to the "RingBuffer?".
This feature is a step to enable livetv streaming through mythweb or directly to a mediaplayer including mobile devices.

Two votes for adding this to MythTV 0.23, or at least 0.24. 0.22-fixes even! I just discovered my Intel Atom frontend is too slow to show HD transmissions (DVB-T H.264). My wife demands a "real TV" for the Olympics if I can't get this fixed by tomorrow. (The second vote..) My backend is a much faster 64bit Athlon X2 living in my basement, and it would be nice if it could do the CPU intensive work. This would make my frontend less noisy as well, as a nice bonus.

We don't do votes. Read the ticket howto. anonymous on the ticket doesn't mean we can't still tell who you are.

Thank you for the submission.
I'm afraid this looks too invasive for the level of additional functionality provided.
