Description
I saw an article today about a company building a hardware box to level the volume of those annoyingly loud commercials that seem so much louder than the TV show you are watching.
I figured since MythTV can identify commercials (at least in recordings) then it would be so cool if I could select a volume level from (0-100%) for commercials during live TV watching. I can skip commercials during recordings but while watching Live TV it would be awesome if I could at least lower the volume. Today I am always hitting my mute button when a commercial starts and there are probably others like me that would use a feature like this.

Not to belabor the point but is there another mechanism for people to submit these types of ideas for future consideration for people who might have a good idea but are not able to provide code?

While it's a valid and neat idea, this is a feature request without patch. If you would like to submit a patch for such a feature, please feel free to submit a new ticket with the patch attached.
