Rule list not updated when creating custom rule

Description
When editing a rule from the management screen, after turning an existing rule to a custom rule and saving it, the new custom rule is not showing up until you leave the management screen and enter it again.

I thought I understood what this ticket was about, but I don't. I'll need a more detailed, step by step guide including the names and a description of the screens in question. i.e. What is meant by the 'management screen' in this case?

I can't describe it better at the moment, because converting rules into custom rules doesn't work at all for my anymore. I open the menu while on a regular rule in the rules screen and then pick "Custom Edit" or how ever this is called in the English interface. In the rule editor I change something, then hit "Save", then pick either "Save as search" or "Save as example", but neither works. I get back to the rule editor, with any changes lost. There hasn't been a new rule created either.
