This file is an MPEG1 PES file, it seems.

Thanks for having a look. What does it mean, is MythVideo/MythGallery? unable to play such files ? What I noticed for the Canon Powershot camera, that very old movies where playable, recordings after a certain date where not playable anymore, I don't know if there were any options changed. Will they maybe be playable with a newer version of ffmpeg (I hope the same version as mplayer uses, so that VAAPI works for me) ? Converting the movies what would be the preferred format, which program and options should be used ? Angela
