Description
Movie recordings made with a Canon PowerShot? 2004 and a newer Canon camera can not be viewed in MythVideo? and MythGallery.
With mythavtest I get the following error message: 2012-05-31 08:50:22.668457 E Player(0): Couldn't find an A/V decoder for: '/store/store5/video/mov03093.mpg' 2012-05-31 08:50:22.668463 E Player(0): Unable to open video file.
mythffplay and mplayer work fine.
Used latest 025-fixes.

Thanks for having a look. What does it mean, is MythVideo/MythGallery? unable to play such files ? What I noticed for the Canon Powershot camera, that very old movies where playable, recordings after a certain date where not playable anymore, I don't know if there were any options changed. Will they maybe be playable with a newer version of ffmpeg (I hope the same version as mplayer uses, so that VAAPI works for me) ? Converting the movies what would be the preferred format, which program and options should be used ? Angela
