#11071 closed Patch - Feature (Won't Fix)

have ttvdb strip leading zeros from season and episode

Description

It would be nice (for me, and perhaps others) to have ttvdb strip leading zeros from the season and episode arguments. It seems more likely that ttvdb would be called with decimal numbers with leading zeros than someone intentionally specifying the season and episode in octal :)

Unnecessary. The values are stored internally as unsigned integers, and the grabber script is called with no 0 padding.

Replying to wagnerrp:

I agree that when called from within Myth, this change is unnecessary. But it would be nice if one were calling ttvdb from an external script importing shows into Myth. This is how I ran into the problem - flexget sometimes zero-pads the episode number.

Whatever you're doing externally with that script will simply need to conform to the behavior MythTV uses internally. MythTV will not make concessions to facilitate the use of tools whose intended purpose is the illegal downloading of content.
