MythNetvision search screen does not honour the DisplayURL choice in bbciplayer.xml

Description

I've noticed that when playing a video from BBC iPlayer that has been searched for on the MythNetvision? Search page, that the video format that is displayed does not match the DisplayURL choice (fullscreen, bigscreen) specified in bbciplayer.xml. (I believe it just opens in Full Screen mode, which currently I am unable to use as there is no mouse cursor, meaning I cannot start playback. The choice i've selected in the xml file is BigScreen?).

When selecting videos via the Browse page however, the choice specified in bbciplayer.xml *is* honoured.

The way the grabber-specific settings are read are unfortunately handled differently for the search view and tree view.

For the search view the settings used are those for the user running mythbackend on the master backend.

For the tree view the settings used are those for the user

  • manually updating the tree view from mythfrontend
  • running mythfillnetvision

Can you confirm that you were editing bbciplayer.xml for the user running mythfrontend, and not that of the user running mythbackend on the master backend?

No response in 5 months and I could not reproduce the issue.
