#11779 closed Bug Report - Hang/Deadlock (Fixed)
Viewing in progress recording from IVTV card hangs frontend

Description
Watching an in progress HVR2200 analog (IVTV) recording results in a remote frontend hanging after a time interval equal to the amount of material recorded at the time of playback start. eg. recording scheduled to start at 20:00, start watching at 20:10 and it hangs after 10 minutes.
The frontend usually crashes after 30-40 seconds but I've been unable to capture any backtrace as I think it may be a OOM kernel event and its a diskless frontend with no swap space.
A frontend local to the backend appears to be OK (to be confirmed).

I've had this problem with in-progress recordings in 0.26 and 0.27 with a local frontend with both IVTV (PVR-250) and HDHomeRun recordings, though I hadn't noticed the specific timing on when the hang occurs. Sometimes, instead of completely dropping out of the frontend after 30-40 seconds of hanging, it will drop us back to the menu and we will restart the recording. This can occur multiple times on a single recording.

Upgraded to 0.27 and remote frontend still hangs. Local frontend is still OK. No crash now, just the hang. Please specify what logging options are required to debug this.
