mythmusic doesn't ignore DPMS during music playback, shuts off audio/screen

Description

Running mythtv 0.27 on top of Ubuntu 12.04 LTS using xfce/xubuntu.

If I leave mythmusic playing a playlist that repeats, the screen goes black and the audio stops playing after about 10 minutes or so, as if a screensaver or power-saving feature has kicked in (DPMS perhaps?).

Don't see any knob to disable this feature in any of the setup options for mythfrontend.

This seems like a bug, not a feature.

The way it works now is a little odd but it seems to be working here. If the screen you are on has a visualiser on it then the screen saver will be de-activated otherwise it will be activated.

Does the theme you are using have a visualiser on it?

Do you not see the

ScreenSaverX11Private: DPMS Reactivated 1 and ScreenSaverX11Private: DPMS Deactivated 1

messages in the log?
