Description
Playback of MKVs with "fansub" embedded SRT subtitles is jerky. The main problem is pauses in playback, and/or subtitles displaying only for a split-second.
After a bit of testing, it looks like it's something to do with the loading of the font or the rendering of the font for the subtitle. The fonts were embedded into the MKV - however I extracted the fonts too, installing them normally. This did not seem to help at all.

Where the first few seconds of the musical-score subtitles cause jerkyness.
These files play fine in VLC.
