guide is almost always distorted in livetv, using pvr-350 output, sometimes causing temp. lockups

Whenever I bring the guide up in LiveTV, there is a blank space across the top portion of the guide. This space corresponds to the space described in 1233, and is present as if the PiP window was on screen, although it is not.

Approximately 1/10th of the time, activating the guide will cause a lockup that takes about 30 seconds to clear. While this happens, the guide will sit as a black screen.

As well, exiting the guide results in a double flash of black screen, before video resumes.
