MythTV Doesn't Scan QAM64

Reported by: joshua.prismon@… Owned by: danielk

Description

Just checked out the current version of MythTV from SVN. I know from experimentation that my cable is QAM64.

It runs a QAM256 scan fine. But when I choose QAM64 in mythtv-setup, I get the following errors(mythtv-setup -v siparser,record,channel > ~/QAM64)

The frontend tuning paramaters error message doesn't mean anything with this card, it does not support this ioctl, but the MythTV scanner has a fallback for this.

I'm going to need you to attach the entire output from "mythtv-setup -v channel, siparser, record" and the output from the atsc scanner in dvbutils scanning with the same frequency table.

After you've attached those two logs please reopen the ticket.

Attachments added. I can add a fuller channels.conf. This is comcast cable into a HD3000.

I uploaded the full channels.conf. Note that I have modified the version of DVBscan slightly so that if it is missing certain data (which comcast doesn't provide) it puts out that standard QAM channel number rather then a unique (but useless) channel number.

DTVscan also has interesting results becayse of the missing data:

channel = 18
Signal: 95
look for sync
PAT found ckets
PAT found ckets
PAT found ckets
PAT found ckets
PAT found ckets
PAT found ckets
PAT found ckets
Unable to recieve valid packets
did find pat
`ERROR vct item ptr null couldn't get channel info
      : :18.1 :18: 2:1

However, the QAM scan for QAM_64 never even starts scanning, so I don't think it's affected by this.

I also confirmed that the 0.19 build from atrpms behaves in the same way.
