Description

The attached patch adds QAM64/256 support.

Backward compatibility:

The HDHomeRun production firmware (20060921) will work in ATSC mode with or without this patch applied.

Development samples that use earlier firmware should upgrade to 20060921: ​http://www.silicondust.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1920

(In [11350]) Refs #2453. Apply HDHomeRun QAM patch to SVN Head.

This requires the release version of the firmware to work (21-09-2006 or later).

Keeping the ticket open for possible backport to 0.20-fixes (this is a pretty simple patch).

(In [11424]) Fixes #2453. Backports HDHomeRun QAM change to 0.20-fixes.

Just before the HDHomeRun was released to the public the firmware tuning API changed. The MythTV code was ready for this change, this just changes the tuning set so that the modulation and frequency is reported to the device instead of the 8-VSB frequency index.

All production HDHomeRun devices are compatible with the change, but engineering samples will need the latest firmware.
