Description
I'm using horizontal overscan (at 2%) to remove the hazy sides of TV capture. I just started using the Internal player but noticed that the highlighted text in DVD menus is shifted to the side. After a little fiddling with settings I noticed the problem disappeared when I turned off the overscan.
I think that sums up the problem nicely, and it should be readily reproducible. If a screen shot would help clarify let me know and I'll provide one.
We probably need some means to turn off over/under scan while in DVD playback

I'm using revision 13823 and still see this problem. This is with Finding Nemo, and of recent notice Children of Men. Don't think I've ever seen menu highlights line up correctly with the internal player. I'm using 3% horizontal and version overscan under TV->Playback settings.

mythtv-vid merge to svn has occurred. mythtv-vid had the fix.
I've been looking at this every now and then for a month or so but haven't made much progress. I have found that you can also see the problem if you change the aspect ratio around - the only aspect ratio that has the menu highlighted in the right place is 4:3. Any zoomed in modes or 16:9 ratio results in that highlight being in the wrong spot.
My problem now is that I haven't yet been able to find how/where the menu highlighting is rendered/calculated. If someone could point me in the right direction, I'd be happy to take a bigger swing at this one ;)
