Description
If you channel change too quickly with 0.20-fixes it is possible to end up with jerky video on playback that can only be fixed by restarting live tv. This has been fixed in the main SVN trunk. The OpenMedia? myPVR build has included the attached changesets backported from trunk for several months which have resolved the issues.
The nice to have changesets also appear to reduce the occurrences of "Error was encountered while displaying video" dramatically.
Must have
- changeset:11324 - Modifies WarpTimecode?
- changeset:11616 - Sets the proper bitrate in the RingBuffer? after it is reset by an OpenFile?
- changeset:11834 - RingBuffer? adaptive sizing
Nice to have's
- changeset:12550 - Fixes a ringbuffer switching race condition.
- changeset:12675 - RingBuffer? race condition
- changeset:12750 - MPEG decoder start optimisations

With a possible target date for 0.21 there is little point spending time on backporting these fixes to 0.20.
These all apply cleanly to 0.20-fixes.
