mythtvosd causes mythfrontend to exit abnormally

Description
In using mythtvosd to display either caller id information (via tools like NCID which use mythtvosd as the display mechanism) or text messages, there are a percentage of times where its use will cause the running mythfrontend to exit entirely.
These exits ONLY happen when playing video, live tv, or watching recordings. These exits do not happen all of the time; one gets the feeling that it is about 20% of the time.
I posted a question about this to the users mailing list (http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/mythtv/users/301132), and a few people using 0.20.2 and trunk (0.21) responded with 'me too' comments.

The branch has not yet been applied to trunk, so no. It is currently in the mythtv-vid branch.

Fixed by recent mythtv-vid merge
This is due to the OSD not being locked when using mythtvosd. I wrote a patch for some months back, and it is part of the mythtv-pip changes that Stanley is working on.
