Mythfrontend tries to mount empty multi-card reader slots upon startup

Description (last modified by sphery)

On my secondary frontend, running opensuse 11.1 with KDE 4.3, I have a multi-card reader (usb, internal). Upon starting mythfrontend or 1-2 minutes after, the frontend tries to read and mount the card slots, complaining (in the terminal log) about lack of fstab entries for the readers, and remaining unresponsive during the effort. Then the Images screen appears without having selected it. After that, the frontend is responsive again (keys respond again).

I got rid of this problem by asking mythtv to exclude those devices from monitoring (Setup --> General --> Media Monitor). However, I think this is just a fix, not a solution, since it won't see the cards I insert in the readers.
