This is more an annoyance than a bug...
When in metadata browse mode (category for instance), if you are in a sub node and then apply a filter, the view resets to the root node rather than staying at the current node you're browsing.

The tree is built according to the filter-- there's no practical way in the current architecture to do otherwise. The view resets because it's a "fresh" tree.
