hdpvr 1080i recordings cause end of recording popup to appear halfway through show

Description
When recordings are made at 1080i with an hdpvr, and the prompt at end of recording option is enabled, playback (Using vdpau if that matters) results in the end of recording prompt to abort playback almost exactly halfway through the playback. For example, a sitcom will end after 15 minutes, a 2 hour movie will end 1 hour through, etc... I looked through the tickets and saw several relating to the end of recording prompt coming early, but I think this is a separate issue than that, as those issues were about it coming just a little early, and this issue is specific to 1080i recordings, and happens at the half way point of the recording and not just a few minutes early.

Last night I upgraded my parents' box (they use an HD-PVR) to 0.23-fixes. I tested the "end of recording" logic with a few recordings. I fast forwarded the recording to ~3 minuets before the end of the show. Then I allowed the recording to play normally until the "prompt at end of recording" on screen display appeared. It consistently stopped playing 2-3 seconds before the end (according to the length reported by the OSD).
There might still be an issue if you watch the recording at normal speed the whole way through. I did not test that. I'm sure I will get some feedback from the parents if there is still a major issue with the end of recording logic.

Appears solved (2-3 seconds at the end is another ticket).
I believe I am encountering this as well, although it is not just limited to the midway point. Usually it is the mid-way point, as well as 1 or 2 points beyond that. The end of recording dialog can be "aborted" by pausing and unpausing the recording. The false end-of-recording can also be jumped past.
