VDPAU video initialization fails with "A/V Sync Failed"

Description

In trunk for the past several months, certain files which once played with VDPAU now fail to initialize video playback. The return with a UI popup of "A/V Sync failed."

I have uploaded a sample to:

This particular failure is no longer evident (Other A/V Sync failed examples exist, but not this one on my systems).
