Description

Hi mythbackend version: branches/release-0-22-fixes [22561]

I take a 1 hour recording and make a DVD that is only a few minutes long. This has worked prior to the RC over the last months.

Here is where it seems to go wrong (mythburn.log)

OK 2 interesting things: 1) I can record other recordings to DVD in full. This recording is watchable without any defects being evident, but it must be flawed 2) I installed release-21-fixes and correctly built a DVD after uploading the recording (myth.rebuilddatabase.pl) so the problem definitely exists in the .22 RC James

0.23 and use of ProjectX completely fixes this. Old recordings that did not work now do.

Resolution: invalid

Worked around the problem by switching to ProjectX for the demuxer which often handles slight corruption better than mythtranscode/mythreplex.

Seems I upset someone for suggesting his bug was invalid when it wasn't. Setting to wontfix since the bug is still there and no one with the necessary knowledge to fix it is interested. Using Project-X is often a good workaround to avoid the bug in the first place.

Same behaviour here. Both with 0.22 and fresh install 0.24.

Recorded movie of 2 hours length is truncated to approx. 20 minutes after DVD creation. No errors reported during process.

Using Project-X does NOT solve the problem. Instead, Project-X even crashes on the movie.
