I believe this has been fixed.
Can you try this again with the latest SVN, if this is still a problem reopen the ticket with the 'mythfrontend -v playback' log and tell what playback method you are using 'xv', 'X11', 'X11-shm', 'xvmc', 'pvr-350', etc.

Do you still get this with today's changes?
If so, could you produce matching front and back end logs, with '-v playback' and '-v record, channel, siparser' ?
Also what kind of recorder are you using when this happens ? hdtv/dvb/pvr-x50/bttv ?
Also, are you using XVideo or X11 or X11-shm ? If you don't know, it is probably XVideo.

I haven't posted on this topic before, but today's fixes did correct it for me. Also, channel changing for my PVR-250's s-video input is much smoother. There's still a couple obvious pauses.

In absense of other information; I'll assume that Gernot had the same problem as anonymous, and that it is fixed now.
Gernot, if that is not the case, please reopen the ticket with the requested information.

yesterday, i had livetv running the hole evening. first on my dvb-t card, there was no problem. after i switched to my pvr-150 and there the same error occured again. still using "xv" as video output.
i'm sorry but i didn't have mythbackend running with -record option only with "channel, shedule":
2005-12-19 00:15:00.655 NVP: Couldn't find a matching decoder for: /mnt/store/recording/1027_20051218235916.mpg 2005-12-19 00:15:00.658 NVP, Error: Could not open file for preview. 2005-12-19 00:15:00.915 TVRec(2): RingBufferChanged?() 2005-12-19 00:15:01.030 Finished recording Der weiße Hai 3: channel 1027

Summary: | in livetv i got always an "Prebuffer wait timed out 10 times" if there is an program change → PVR-150 "Prebuffer wait timed out 10 times" on program change |
This ticket needs a backend log with '-v record'
