trunk svn23114: mythfrontend does not show all recordings on watch recordings screen, mythweb is fine

when I go to mythfrontend->Media->Watch recordings, I do not see all my recordings. I only see recordings up to say end of January 2006!. When I use mythweb, I could see all recordings. When I press "m" and do a "change group" I see that I have 1406 recordings in "All Groups". If I select it and go to "All Recordings" in the lef thand side list of the watch recording screen it tells me I have 101 Recordings. This started to happen when I updated my svn trunk version around Christmas/new year, but I realized to late to go back.
I double checked that I have not setup a group filter or anything else I know of and I got advice on the mailinglist, no help.
I checked in the database if I can see a difference between entries shown (recorded before 2006 and after) nothing obvious. I tried to execute the SQL query, done normally by mythbackend to get the list for the frontend, and get all recordings. So there must be a kind of filter running in the frontend to ignore recordings after January 2006.
I already tried to get help in the mailinglist and IRC. I can not access new recordings for playback right now, nor can I clean up my recordings, so I am running out of space.
Any help is welcome.
