Julio, the sample doesn't play in the latest versions of any FFmpeg-based players including mplayer, MythTV and XBMC. It also fails to play with FFmpeg's own player, ffplay. The only way to get this fixed is to submit a ticket directly to FFmpeg and provide a sample. After a fix is applied to upstream FFmpeg it can be backported to MythTV.

I just install ubuntu 8.04 on Virtual Box and played the file in VLC,Mplayer, ffplay and mythtv 0.21. I installed Mythbuntu 10.04 and can get the file to play in VLC and Mplayer, but not all of the time. The only thing I see is maybe the file headers where ignore in earlier FFmpeg versions. Thank you for looking into this I will open a ticket with FFmpeg, again thanks.
