Description
I have one machine (#1) that has a backend/frontend combo. It was recording two shows (1 hdpvr & 1 hd-homerun) and commflagging. I have another machine (#2) that is a frontend only. I exited out of watching a show on #2. Within less than a second both the frontend and the backend on #1 crashed. #2 was fine. The kern.log from #1 is attached but there was no core dump.

Doug,
Your kernel log indicates your system was completely out of memory (and no space available in swap) at the time-- the kernel was protecting itself and was forced to kill myth. Without a lot more supporting information, there's nothing here to indicate that the problem has anything to do with Myth. If you want to talk through it, the -users list might be a good place to start.
