Description (last modified by )
Watching LiveTV from HDHomerun tuner fails every 2-3 minutes with a crash on mythpreviewgen. Can happen immediately after a channel change or just by watching for some time (variable). Change of FS from ext4 to JFS makes no difference.
MythTV drops back to menu with message "Video frame buffering failed too many times"
Frontend logs contain "Waited 100ms for video buffers dDAdAALAAAADdAAAA" (last ID is always different)
Last error from front end:

and problem remains - no segfault anymore but same behaviour; will gather logs to attach.

Seems that this problem happens approx 2.5 minutes though the live tv. I thought it was EIT related so I changed to 'Quick Tune' always; but that did not fix anything. In this second batch of logs, action happens at 2011-05-10 00:28:19.290. At that point the frontend freezes and the backend dumps a load of stuff that looks like EIT ; no segfault
Please help!!!!!

logs with newer version of 0.24 fixes branch

Hi again; I upgraded yesterday to latest from mythbuntu ppa, the problem seems PARTIALLY resolved. I think the root cause is the point where the LiveTV recording switches from one file to the other. The problem is less prominent now (I dont see the frontend failing anymore) but there are still entries in the logs like this one:
Waited 100ms for video buffers dDAdAALAAAADdAAAA
So currently (I think my MythTV is now at 0.24.20110510 but will confirm tonight) the problem seems partially gone.
Please advise on how you want to proceed - logs; backtrace; etc
