Description
In the upgrade from 0.24 to 0.25 mythmusic lost functionality that a lot of users seem to have relied on. Primary among them was the ability to browse music by filesystem folder. In addition, the ability to jump to the music selector by a single keypress (previously the 3 key), the ability to select "All tracks" from the tree, and faster navigation of long lists were also lost.
Patches to restore all of these lost features were posted on the mythtv-users mailinglist.

Actually possibly not, since it seems the subject of the ticket says one thing, but then talks about another ...
I'll consider the 'fast scroll' patch for 0.26, although there are already several ways to navigate long lists (search, page down). Really though it's better never to present the user with a long list, but whether that's something we can resolve at our end or whether it's the responsibility of the user to organise their tracks in more logically ...
This patch is very much essential in my case. Here in the Netherlands there is a very popular top2000 list. I have this in my Mp3 folder under various artists/top2000. searching by artist now is virtually impossible because there are close to 2000 artists to scroll through. ABBA is doable. but I never play ZZ-top anymore:-(
