Description
I'm experiencing a lot of duplicated LiveTV program entries in the expiration listings, one of them (out of up to three) being always 0 kB in size. Just a few are normal single entries (greater than zero).
A whole sticky post is devoted to this issue (which seems to span across several MythTV versions) in:
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1687846
I do not know how to debug/backtrace this particular issue, so suggestions are welcome ;-).
Regards, Antonio
PS: I first noticed this issue after performing a manual DB recovery but it might as well be happening since a while before.

MrShakeTouchpad? on IRC was experiencing this same issue and found that increasing the tuning and signal timeouts on his capture device using mythtv-setup prevented the issue. (He used 7000/10000 ms for his HDHomeRun.)

Mmmmmmmmmmm. I set those values in my box and they didn't work. It is a Nova-T-500 (dual tuner) based anyways. I'll investigate further. Thank you for your advice.

The Nova-T 500 driver has been riddled with bugs since it first appeared. zero-byte recordings are a particular problem if you have active EIT scanning enabled on both tuners, the driver just can't handled constant use of both tuners with regular channel changes.
I also have a Nova-T 500 and now rarely see failed recordings after disabling active EIT scanning on the second of the two tuners.
There isn't any one cause of 0-byte recordings; you must look at the log file to see the actual cause of your particular problem.
