Description
Using MythTV frontend on an Allwinner A10/Cortex A8 mk802-II processor with lubuntu (also on debian sid) to an established backend running under Centos-6.3. All works fine and the frontend connects to the backend and recordings are visible. But when playing a program, the video/audio don't start and the frontend crashes with a seg.violation.

Thanks for the response. However I must note that mplayer plays .avi files just fine. Also, it's kinda sorta puzzling that the debian & ubuntu distros have bothered to port and release mythfrontend to the arm architecture if the thing doesn't work.
The Cortex-A8 has limited performance and next to no floating point unit. It is simply not going to be able to perform software video decoding in real time. ARM will not be supported as a playback platform without hardware video decoding, and no one has yet written that for the A10.
