#12059 closed Bug Report - General (Won't Fix)
Enable subtitle should take an un-forced subtitle
Reported by: | Owned by: | Jim Stichnoth | |
---|---|---|---|
Priority: | minor | Milestone: | 0.27.7 |
Component: | MythTV - Captions | Version: | Master Head |
Severity: | low | Keywords: | subtitle forced |
Cc: | Ticket locked: | no |
Description
In the occasion that there are two subtitle streams: ger (forced) ger
the forced subtitle is already considered by the hard-coded forced setting. When selecting "Enable Subtitle", the forced subtitle is selected.
In this occasion I have to deep down in the subtitle menu to activate the correct subtitle.
What I would expect is, that an un-forced subtitle is selected, as there are two menu settings (enable/disable subtitle, enable/disable forced subtitle).

Just for the records, this issue is still existing in v29.
I have a personal patch which disables the jump keys in the player. So I have 8 more keys during playback. With one key I can toggle the different subtitles, with another key I can toggle enable/disable for that subtitle. Much faster than going through the menu.
Do you happen to have a small sample demonstrating the problem, that I could test with?
