Description
A week ago there was no problem with any of this, now upon fresh installation on freshly installed Kubuntu and Ubuntu 14.04, the Mysql passwords don't match, and then after changing them, the backend needs to be manually started from terminal each time the machine is rebooted. Installation was much smoother than this before!

When you say manually, are you manually running the init script, or are you manually running the mythbackend executable directly? It sounds like you're trying to run mythbackend through multiple different environments, some with a valid config.xml and some without.
