Description
On a setup that has multiple frontends with differing hardware it is sometimes necessary to specify mythvideo player commands on a per frontend basis yet this does not seem to be possible. For example, I have a P4 on my HDTV and a Via SP13000 on a small analog TV. The P4 can decode in SW but the Via box must use XvMC.
If the internal player worked adequately on the Via HW this would be less of a problem but due to another issue, which I have been characterizing and am about to open a ticket for, this would not be as much of an issue as I could simply select the internal player on both frontends. (Also, if I could get adequate playback with mythtv on the Via system I would replace the P4 with another Via box.)
