Description

Ubuntu Feisty Fawn, mythtv 0.20.1, installed using Synaptic package manager, error experienced by users who didn't have admin privileges on the box.

This is the error I get when starting the app by typing in mythtv.

X Error: BadDevice?, invalid or uninitialized input device 169

Major opcode: 147 Minor opcode: 3 Resource id: 0x0

Failed to open device X Error: BadDevice?, invalid or uninitialized input device 169

Major opcode: 147 Minor opcode: 3 Resource id: 0x0

Failed to open device

and then nothing happens.

I fixed it by eliminating all references to the WACOM tablet in my xorg.conf, and the corresponding stylus, curson & eraser in the server section.
