Description (last modified by Isaac Richards)

Running on AMD x86_64 3200+ @2200 Mhz, 2G Ram, version 0.18.1 (current via yum install). When starting webfrontend (under gnome) we get a segment fault. See below:

[user@shuttle ~]$ mythfrontend
2005-11-02 21:03:32.560 New DB connection, total: 1
Total desktop width=1280, height=1024, numscreens=1
2005-11-02 21:03:32.574 Using screen 0, 1280x1024 at 0,0
2005-11-02 21:03:32.582 mythfrontend version: 0.18.1.20050523-1 www.mythtv.org
2005-11-02 21:03:32.582 Enabled verbose msgs : important general
2005-11-02 21:03:32.695 Switching to square mode (G.A.N.T.)
Corrupt JPEG data: bad Huffman code
mythtv: could not connect to socket
mythtv: No such file or directory
lirc_init failed for mythtv, see preceding messages
2005-11-02 21:03:33.773 Joystick disabled.
2005-11-02 21:03:33.822 Registering Internal as a media playback plugin.
2005-11-02 21:03:33.834 Inserting MythVideo initial database information.
Segmentation fault

An odd (not "traditional blue as in myth-setup") screen briefly opens then closes. mythbackend is running: Where is the "corrupt JPEG file"? mythtv: could not connect to (WHICH) socket? mythtv: No such file or directory (WHICH file or directory)? More descriptive error message(s) would be helpful.

Do I have to have an ir device attached? I do have lirc installed:

[user@shuttle ~]$ rpm -q lirc lirc-0.7.2-49.rhfc4.at
