Problem with backend/frontend on slave disconnect/reconnect

Reported by: eric.bosch@… Owned by: Isaac Richards
Priority: minor Milestone: 0.22
Component: mythtv Version: head
Severity: medium Keywords:
Cc: Ticket locked: no

Description

I am having an unusual problem introduced within the last week or so where if the slave backend is restarted for some reason, the backend on both the master and slave begin using very high cpu (at least 30-50%). Normal backend runs at 1-3%. Also, if I'm watching LiveTV on the master server, CPU usage by frontend is very high (30-50%). I can bring cpu usage down to normal by restarting mythbackend on the master server (affects both master and slave machine), and then start LiveTV again, and everything is normal. I do see sometimes this problem start again after recordings are performed on the slave server. I see nothing out of the ordinary in the logs, but will change the verbosity to see if I can determine exactly what's eating up the CPU cycles.

we need logs at least and probably profiling to trace this.

Sorry, I forgot I had this ticket out there. The problem seems to have been resolved as other porting/etc took place.
