Description
With the rise of new MPEG-2 encoder cards (specifically the HVR-1600, HVR-1800, and their European counterparts (HVR-1300?)), we now have MPEG-2 encoders which are NOT compatible with Myth's MPEG-2 encoder card type, which presumes that the device is an ivtv card. While the new HVR-1600 is ivtv, the HVR-1800 and a host of other recent MPEG-2 encoders are not. This patch clarifies which cards can be used with the MPEG-2 encoder card type (a bit).

Are there any plans to implement support for the HVR-1800 and other MPEG2 non-ivtv encoders?
