unable to tune some dvb-s2 transponders on astra 19.2E

Using svn 23700, I can tune all dvb-s transponders on that satellite, but for some reasons tuning fails on some dvb-s2 transponders...

Example: 12.522 ghz, DVB-S2, 8PSK, SR 22000 should tune ok on astra but it does not tune at all in my environment.

Surprisingly,this problem does not exist on hotbird 13E, it tunes ok on all dvb-s2 transponders on hotbird.

I have done the same tests using Kaffeine v1.0 and it succeeds to tune on all transponders on Astra be it dvb-s or dvb-s2, so this is why I stronfgy suspect there is something is wrong with mythtv. It is not my antenna either otherwise tuning would fail with Kaffeine

I am using twinhan dvb-s2 ADSP-400 card ( clone of technotrend S3200 ), runing ubuntu karmic with kernel 2.6.31-20

Setting to infoneeded until logs are provided. I'm assuming SVN trunk since you said only "svn 23700."

If you're using DiSEqC, please also see ​http://svn.mythtv.org/trac/ticket/7728#comment:3 and verify that you're configuring your system properly (and let us know if it is just a configuration issue).

After some further investigations I discovered that this problem is linked to the latest version ( March 2010) of s2-liplianin drivers/modules that I use for my dvb-s2 card on my sertup ( Ubuntu Karmic kernel 2.6.31-20- ( based on mantis driver vp1041 ) ( also known as Sky star HD 2 or Technotrend 3200 S2 or Twinhan ADSP-400 ).

Falling back to an earlier version ( October 2009 ) solves the problem. I Still think there is an issue with tyhe mythtv code since this problem does not exist with Kaffeine. Something must be suboptimal somewhere in the mythtv code.

Will not post the logs unless asked specifically.

Yes it was tested with the trunk not the 0.22 branch.
