#10269 closed Bug Report - General (Invalid)
No EIT for DVB-C KDG

Description
I use a DVB-T (Nova-T 500) and DVB-C (budget 1501) card with mythtv 0.24.1. Channel scan for dvb-c worked only in this way:
1) scan .../dvb-c/de-Muenchen -> channels.conf
2) importing channels.conf in myth.
Watching TV via dvb-c then works fine but EIT is not delivered. Then I deleted the channels and did another full scan tuned. After that I added the networkid 61441 (previous: NULL) for Kabel Deutschland (KDG) in the table dtv_multiplex but still no EPG. Then I filled the (before: empty) sistandard in the same table with "dvb" and after that watching TV was no longer possible and of course still no EIT.
Now I'm running out of ideas (didn't find more suggestions).
Regards, Ditmar.

And EIT cannot be "repaired" using the routine above as mentioned in a wiki somewhere? Well and without a channels.conf scan didn't find a channel at all, so that's not a solution.

Ditmar, we can discuss this on the users list. (Likely your transport_id is still NULL)

Dear dekarl, no, the TID is not NULL as can be seen in the attachment of my posting to the users list (with no replies yet). Do you think it might make sense to open a bug as the internal scanner doesn't find a channel?
EIT does not funciton in MythTV when you import with a channels.conf. If you wish to use EIT you will need to scan in mythtv.
