#11388 closed Bug Report - General (Invalid)

unable to connect to mythbackend

Reported by: whoisterencelee@… Owned by:
Priority: minor Milestone: unknown
Component: MythTV - General Version: 0.26
Severity: medium Keywords: MainServer initialization error
Cc: Ticket locked: no

Description

Compiled the source for a minimal distro called Tinycorelinux

Compiled ok mythtv-setup seems ok

but when I tried to run mythfrontend, it says Could not connect to the master backend server. Is it running? Is the IP address set for it in mythtv-setup correct?

I can see the mythbackend process running.

Attached is the debug log, there is an backend MainServer? initialization error and some http proxy error.

Any idea which version? I am using 0.26 with git fetch, Which should put me in 0.26-fixes. was it fixed in 0.27?

mythbackend version: exported [v0.26.0]

Your logs say you're using the 0.26 release tarball, not the fixes/0.26 branch. If you were running a build from the fixes branch, you would see something like...

mythbackend version: fixes/0.26 [v0.26.0-90-g28144cd]

Confirmed fixed in fixes/0.26 branch, thanks.
