Description
For the last few months the Channel scanner has been wiping the xmltvid, the channel icons, and resetting the visible and useonairguide columns among others. For a time, before this started to happen, it had the option to only update channels or only add new channels.
It can take a long time to get these channels configured exactly how you want them, so having the scanner then wipe out all of that data isn't good.

I tried to rescan yesterday using a very current Trunk mythtv setup (2 days old). It wipes my xmltv and channel numbers, which is annoying and a real show stopper (for this feature). Anyone with the same problem?
My setup is a skystar2 on opensuse 10.2 in Germany pointing to the Astra 19 satellite. Doing a channels.conf inport leads to broken multiplexes being added and no new channels (with error message).

Elkin, I don't know what problem you are experiencing, but it's definitely not the one fixed by [14450]. Please open a new ticket with the "mythtv-setup -v channel, siparser, record" log of the scan. We can't help without seeing the error messages you got.
