#331 closed enhancement (invalid)

record two transmissions which are one behind another on the same chanel

Reported by: Peter kanus Owned by: Isaac Richards
Priority: minor Milestone: 0.19
Component: mythtv Version: head
Severity: high Keywords:
Cc: Ticket locked: no

Description

It would be cool, if mythtv recognizes if two transmission (which are one behind another) are on the same cannel and would make one big recording (and cut it afterwards) or throws away the "begin x minutes earlier"-setting.

Problem: when i want to record a transmission, i let Mythtv usualy begin 10 minutes earlier and end 10 minutes later to be absolutely sure to record the hole transmission. But if one transmission with a low priority is followed by one with a high priority mythtv only records the second one. :(

No. The 'global' versions of these are optional, the per-schedule versions are not.

I would be very happy with such behaviour. What does the reply mean: No. The 'global' versions of these are optional, the per-schedule versions are not.

In the Myth front end, go to

Setup -> Tv Settings -> General -> (third page, General (Advanced)).

there is an option called "number of seconds to start early" and one for late. These are really really handy. You can set every recording to record 10 minutes late. However, if you are scheduling two prorams back-to-back, and need the tuner, it will cut off the first recoring on time, switch to the other program, and then finish the second one late.

Note: See TracTickets for help on using tickets.
