Description

The OSD menus shown while viewing live or recorded TV are not as sharp as they once were. You can see they are slightly (vertically only?) jittery. I was able to track down the problem to the SVN version 14405 of MythTV. The menus were nice and sharp in the previous 14404 version.

I'm running MythTV from SVN built on a machine running Fedora 7. Qt version qt-3.3.8-7.fc7 gcc (GCC) 4.1.2 20070502 (Red Hat 4.1.2-12) The config.log file only has a date and the line "./configure". The output from mythfrontend --version is: Library API version : 0.21.20070905-1 Source code version : 14538 SVN Branch : trunk Network Protocol Version: 35 Options compiled in:

linux release using_oss using_alsa using_jack using_backend using_dbox2 using_dvb using_frontend using_hdhomerun using_iptv using_ivtv using_joystick_menu using_v4l using_x11 using_xrandr using_xv using_xvmc using_xvmcw using_bindings_perl using_live

The hardware is an Hauppage PVR-150 card.

De-interlacing was enabled on all systems after the -vid merge, chances are that this change is causing your problems. Try disabling deinterlacing from the Playback settings (third page, edit the playback profile).

You can find out how to edit the playback profile by asking on the -dev list since it can be a little confusing.

Re-open the ticket if this doesn't solve the issue.

Note: See TracTickets for help on using tickets.
