Description
When I click Watch TV or Watch Recording it exits to the Kubuntu login screen. I am running Kubuntu 10.10 that was upgraded from Ubuntu 10.10 after problems with pulseaudio and Myth. I have uninstalled Pulseaudio but the problem persists. The logs are not helpful because the last entry states switching from none to watchinglivetv or watchingrecording.

I have this same problem using 0.23.1+fixes26437-0ubuntu1 (mythtv). When I try to Watch live TV, I get logged out. MythTV does record about 3 seconds worth of mpeg video in my livetv folder - I can view that fine (audio, video good)
I have the latest NVIDIA 260.19.36 drivers on an NVIDIA 9500 GS card, on Ubuntu 10.10 (Linux-x86_64). I don't see anything of not in dmesg.log and Xorg.0.log
What do I look for? Are there settings to get around this problem? /var/log/messages shows

Bug with Ubuntu + any profile that attempts to use XvMC. Not a myth bug, please see the users list for assistance, but in short, switch to a playback profile group such as "Slim" which does not use XvMC and you will avoid tripping this (Ubuntu) Bug.
Please read the ticket howto. Don't post to invalid tickets, get your help on the users list.
This is an indication of a driver issue (usually a video driver issue) causing an X crash, not a Myth issue. You probably want to check dmesg and your Xorg.0.log file.
