#9164 closed defect (Fixed)

Subtitle font stretch factor needs to change for different recordings

Reported by: gregorio.gervasio@… Owned by: markk
Priority: minor Milestone: 0.24.1
Component: MythTV - Video/OSD Rendering Version: 0.24
Severity: medium Keywords:
Cc: Ticket locked: no

Description

When viewing recordings with different pixel aspect ratios (eg. 1920x1080 and 480x480) subsequent viewings wrongly use the subtitle (CC608) font stretch factor of the first recording viewed. For example, when viewing a 1920x1080 clip and then a 480x480 one, the CC font looks too wide in the 480x480 clip. When viewing in the reverse order, the font looks too narrow in the 1920x1080 clip.

That attached patch seems to fix the problem. (I'm not sure if Initialise708Fonts needs a similar fix -- I don't have a test case.)
