Description
I seem to be having a similar problem as documented in ticket 10428 (http://code.mythtv.org/trac/ticket/10428). That ticket has been marked as closed for some time. However, I am running what I believe to be the most up-to-date version of MythTV: v0.26.0-87-gc86a3d7
I see this issue when watching live tv as small "stutters" in playback. I do not see this with recordings. My source is an HDHomeRun Prime, my backend is a core i5 with 4 gigs of ram. OS+mysql are on one spindle with all recordings and live tv files going to a separate drive dedicated to MythTV video files. Backend and HDHomerun have GigE ports connected to the same GigE switch. There is very little traffic on the switch and the backend is dedicated to Myth (5 - 10% CPU use while watching live or recorded TV), so I doubt performance is an issue here.

I don't think this is necessarily a live TV buffering problem, as I also see evidence while watching in-progress recordings.
